I got it down to 501 places. I don’t know what the extra entry was. I checked each place in this list against the book and made some changes because of place misspellings, hierarchy, etc. Would be worth it to go through the list one more time to make sure I didn’t accidentally drop a place.

Correction — 5 weeks ago
Changed no. 23, Zanzibar Islands, to Unguja. The book seems to be referring specifically to the island of Unguja, which is also known as Zanzibar. For example, the book describes Zanzibar as a “low-lying coral island,” not as an archipelago.

‘T was on my list __, great to see it here as well. There are currently 502 places on the list though, but I wasn’t able to spot the odd one out.
