Crime Writers' Association's "Ellis Peters Historical Dagger Award (Nominees)"
"Started in 1999 in memory of Ellis Peters, author of the medieval Brother Cadfael series (http://www.listsofbests.com/list/17560), this award…is presented to a novel with a crime theme and a historical background of any period up to the 1960s." (As of 2007, it includes any period up to the 1970s.)
Note: The award was renamed the Ellis Peters Award in 2006. Also note that this award is given later in the year than the regular CWA Daggers.
Since there have only been a few winners so far, this is a list of the shortlists for each year. The winner is listed first, then the nominees. The CWA’s website doesn’t have the shortlist for 1999 or 2000, so those are missing.
