Hey Paul,

Thanks for these lists. Strangely enough I had been looking at the website for a while yesterday. It’s interesting to hear of the old popular writers, eg. Zane Grey and Mary Roberts Reinhard (?) Frances Hodgson Burnett, to see what people were reading and what is still viewed as outstanding literature today. I tried to find a plot summary of the Salamander book but the Amazon website says only that it’s culturally important. I can also remember my mother talking fondly of Gene Stratton-Porter!
