dandv's "Movies you'll think about"

Some movies make you smile. Some make you think. Some do both. Some you’ll remember, some you won’t.

Yet some movies will change the way you think. I aim to collect those in this list. "Princess Bride" won’t make it. "Runaway Jury" will.

Most of these movies are not "mindfuck" movies (a movie where misdirection is used to lead to an ending that is completely unexpected, but is coherent with the rest of the movie, and even consistent with clues subtly presented during the course of the movie). Mindfuck movies (e.g. Usual Suspects) make you think then and there, while you watch the movie, but they don’t necessarily carry on a message, or teach you something. The list below is of movies that do. Movies that can shift your paradigm, change your way of thinking, increase your awareness, even a little.

The movies are vaguely arranged in the increasing order of the impact magnitude on one’s thinking, during and after the movie. What is your level?
