well, you’re certainly a Maddin fan- i’ve had mixed reactions, obviously need to see more, by him and from Canada generally

It may seem like a short list – only twenty-something films out of 400 I’ve seen from that time period. However, I am, admittedly a bit harsher on recent films, in terms of my rankings. As times goes on, once films have stood up over repeated viewings and have proven to be timeless, their rating can improve. The films on this list, I believe, have the elements necessary that likely will prove their timelessness.
