jmc509's "Detective Gourmand"
Detective stories provide my mindless entertainment, so mindless that I usually can re-read them because I don’t remember what happened shortly after finishing a book. My mother had more than 100 Agatha Christie books, and I read them all. I began in elementary school with the Hardy Boys stories, and I read all the ones I could buy or find in a library in Daingerfield, Texas. Later, I read Edgar Allen Poe and the Shelock Holmes mysteries. Now, I generally prefer female writers because they tend to be less violent and to have more romance.
