Cara O'Brien's "Books to read in 2008"

This is by no means a definitive list, as there are books I’ve read that aren’t on the list (mostly books about writing, so it wouldn’t be of much interest to many other people). Most of these are books I’ve already partially read and have been meaning to get around to finishing. I’ve tried to include a pretty good mix of genres, but I couldn’t escape the inevitable and avoid political books altogether. It’s just not possible for me to separate myself from politics. So there they are.
