I’d add not only Waking Life, but also A Scanner Darkly. I didn’t see the twist coming in that movie by a mile.

Yes, Mulholland Drive, Pi, The Matrix, maybe Run Lola Run and Sex and Lucia. Also an old movie w/ Michael Douglas called The Game- it wasn’t exactly a great piece of artistry, but it threw me for a loop.

Untitled — 2 years ago

Jacobs Ladder for sure

Jacob’s Ladder for sure.

more, More, MORE!!! — 3 years ago

Mulholland Drive
The Matrix (and trilogy)
eXistenZ
13th Floor
Dark City
Total Recall
Truman Show
Aeon Flux
Lathe of Heaven

Are just a few of the really great movies not on the list …

What the bleep do we know is so much sophmoric nonsense (gasp!). A far more profound substitute would be I heart huckabees.

Total Recall — 3 years ago

This Philip K. Dick adaptation with a young Arnold Schwartznegger is one of my favorites. The Truman Show and Dark City might also qualify.

Untitled — 3 years ago

I think you should add thumbsucker :p and requiem for a dream

Oh.. — 3 years ago

I forgot Haunted (1995,with Aidan Quinn)
and The Others (2001).
