This list is a compilation of several different published lists, including Modern Library, Radcliff, Oprah, Fadiman’s, Pulitzer, and the BBC’s Big Read, as well as books that I have found of personal interest. I will not be adding to this list once I am done entering the full list, but I may create another as more books come to my attention. They are alphabetized (more or less)by author except where major genre changes occur.
