One Hit Wonders: 23 Works that Earned a Top Slot but no Other

One of the appendixes from the book <i>The Top Ten: Writers Pick Their Favorite Books</i>. Author J. Peter Zane asked 125 authors about their favorite books and compiled many lists based upon their choices. Each of these books made one author’s number one, but was not mentioned in any other author’s top ten list.

Note: The list contains 24 items on the list because Zane listed The Birthday Party (#3) and The Homecoming (#4) as one selection.
