Slightly more reliable for good recommendations than the IMDB top 250 in my opinion.

Update 21/10/08 — 3 years ago

More of the same, with ‘Casablanca’ dropping further and Tarkovsky’s films climbing higher. Why?

New entries include 2008 releases ‘Dark Knight’ (12), ‘Wall-E’ (75) and ‘Iron Man’ (192) as well as Kenji Mizoguchi’s ‘Sansho the Baliff’ (108) and ‘Ugetsu’ (174). Those falling off the list include classics such as ‘High Noon’ and ‘Woman of the Dunes’.

Update 19/06/08 — 3 years ago

Quite a few movers, the most notable being Casablanca’s drop from 5 to 14 and Ratatouille’s more expected drop of around 50 places. Tarkovsky is obviously gaining more fans as Stalker, Andrei Rublev and Offret all climb considerably. Hotel Rwanda and the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari are among those making way for the likes of L’Avventura and Diabolique.
