Useless — 5 days ago

Very few truly independent movies here. Useless.

Don't really agree with the order, but still... — 3 weeks ago

In my opinion, most of the films would still be in the list, but not in this order. I mean, come on, Se7en before 2001: A Space Odyssey? Don’t get me wrong, it’s a very good film, but in what life would it top any of Kubrick’s films? And there are others like Reservoir Dogs, The Big Lebowski that deserve to be right in the first 10. And the list would still be incomplete, because it ignores some great european independent movies.

I challenge the IMDB on the “independent” status of most of these movies. Was very glad to see Punishment Park listed. In light of the former US presidential administration that film is as important now as it was in the 1970s.

Independent? — 5 years ago

I am not sure what on eearth thisis supposed to mean in terms of this list?

Clerks? — 5 years ago

Completely independent- Smith put it mostly on his credit cards and it’s promoted him to crazy success…become a total classic and generated several other films…

No Star Wars? — 5 years ago

How does The Empire Strikes Back not make this list? It was funded completely by Lucas.
