The Stranger — 31 weeks ago

Welles’s greatest film ever. He plays a Nazi war criminal who plays cat and mouse with a Columbo type played by E.G. Robinson. Great atmosphere, writing, directing, plot, and acting.

The 49th Parallel — 31 weeks ago

Great war film which has propoganda, but also truth about the Nazi war machine, and their ideals, and how they sold their machine to Germans. Six Nazis, survivors of a U Boat sinking, traverse Canada and meet various characters. Some poignant scenes, and a real tear jerker in spots. Very deep, Very inspirational.

The Black Castle — 31 weeks ago

The ultimate adventure movie on which all other movies draw their inspiration, but none will ever match this one. The hero, incognito, visits the black castle of a count who means to kill him. Everyone who helps him is killed. He is surrounded by enemies. Boris Karloff plays a doctor who helps the hero. But there seems to be no hope.

D.O.A. — 31 weeks ago

Monumental mystery movie. Edmond O’Brien plays a man who finds he has been poisoned and there is no hope for survival. He searches for his killer. The characters are all well drawn, even if some are over the top. What makes this is the masterful way the protagonist, Bigelow, is written. He carries human flaws so easy to identify with, and yet possesses the inner nobility that makes him worth caring about.

Jungle Fighters — 31 weeks ago

The most realistic and inspirational war movie ever. The characters are all so real, you would think it was really happening. Great cast, action, and drama about a group of soldiers caught in a situation with an unwanted prisoner. The most ironic movie ever made

King of Kings — 31 weeks ago

Inspirational. Hunter and Ryan shine. Maybe Royal Dano’s best performance. All performances stellar. The characters, aside from Judas and a few others, are very credible in the screenplay
