seventyseven's "Werner Herzog Films"
All the released films directed or produced by Werner Herzog, including features, documentaries, short films, TV episodes/mini-series, and operas directed by Herzog, if available on DVD. I also included Les Blank’s Burden of Dreams and Werner Herzog Eats His Shoe, a 1970s film about Herzog, I Am My Films, and Incident at Loch Ness, a satirical take on Herzog filming the Loch Ness monster.

Not included are:
- Game in the Sand (1964) an unreleased short that has never been screened
- Scream of Stone (1991) a film Werner Herzog did not write and has disowned
- Film Lesson 1-4 (1990) does not seem to be available
- Tokyo-Ga by Wim Wenders – Herzog is only on screen for a few minutes.
This list is completable! Almost all of Herzog’s films, including the documentaries, shorts and opera, are now available on DVD. Quite a change from just a few years ago, where in order to watch some of the films you would have to hope the Goethe-Institut had a copy.
