The problem with a list of this sort is the fact that one of the chief charms of music lies in the breadth of the unexplored, the constant expansion of horizons.

This list doesn’t skew very heavily toward critical acclaim; I’m bounded by my biography, and all of these albums have been deeply meaningful to me at one or another point in my life.
