Giant? — 5 weeks ago

Is that movie on here? I must be overlooking it. George Stephens is one of They Shoot Picture’s top 100 directors, so I have a hard time believing the movie’s not on this list.

W00t. I’m addicted to lists. Now I have to complete this one, too. Also working on a 1001 books to read before you die list. I’ll be reading/watching movies until I die. :-)

The list has now been updated.

Apologies to anyone that was using the old list but it was always my intention to keep up to date with They Shoot Pictures, Don’t They?

For future reference, this list will be updated again next December, when the new list is made available.

Thanks

Corrections made — 42 weeks ago

Thanks for pointing out some discrepancies in the list – like i say there’s bound to be a fair few, I was losing the will to live by the end.

They’ve now been corrected and if anyone notices anymore mistakes then please let me know.

Thanks

Madchen in Uniform should be the version by Leontine Sagan, La Ronde the Ophuls version.

Untitled — 44 weeks ago

I noticed you posted the wrong version of two films:

Flesh in the Devil is not a version made by Marco Bellocchio, but a French 1946-film by Claude Autant-Lara.

The other is Fallen Angel by Otto Preminger. This should be the 1995-flilm Fallen Angels by Kar Wai Wong.
