Great List!! — 31 weeks ago

Holes and The Giver are the best on this list. Took a Young Adult Lit class in college and read a lot in there (14%!!). Definitely worth a read-even as an adult!!

Miss Hickory (1947) — 1 year ago

Gave me nightmares as a kid! I would like to read it again to see what was it that scared me so much.

The whole Dark is Rising series by Susan Cooper is terrific. I read all of them when I was in my early thirties – I still think children’s books are some of the best we have.

I read many of these as a kid... — 2 years ago

I read many of these as a kid and loved them. They’re really classics, and even the oldest of them has held up well. Our reading teacher gave out this list when I was in 4th or 5th grade and I slowly checked them out over the next few years. If you have a kid who devours books, challenge them to read everything on this list.
