"I Don't Love" Songs
Basically a list of songs in which the singer is saying they don’t do love. I’m putting songs down here because I want a cd about hardening your heart or about being in the game for everything but love. I’m just a little bitter and I’m trying to remind myself to NOT care about anyone. You know anything else that should go on here, then add it. Oh, but I am adding a couple that are slightly off topic, such as "Love you More" by Eminem. It’s more of a, well I’ll have a relationship with you, but not only are we not committed to one another, but we should be committed to an institution because our relationship is as f—ked up as we are. And "Violet" is another messed up relationship theme. "Do You Think I’m a W*%&e" by Kitty isn’t really appropriate either, but not loving and just sleeping with everyone might make you feel that way from time to time and other people will prob. say it- because most people are sexist when it comes to sexual morals (prob. wouldn’t say much about promiscuous men) and they are also judgmental about this stuff in general- and so, you can connect with the lines.
NOTE: Self Esteem seems completely out of place here, and sort of is, but I wanted it on the cd to remind me of how STUPID it is to care about people then let people treat you like this cause you got no self esteem- thus, you should take the advice of "don’t love" and don’t take crap. See, it’s all connected.
Also, Butterfly is almost loving, but he does hurt the other person doing what his body told him to, then leaves them, so ya know…..it counts dad blame it. And the Bikini Kill song, although she has felt some feelings for the other person, shows her thinking that the other person is taking a much diff. attitude. So, this is for when you slip up and give a f—k, but realize how stupid it is. You should have the crappy attitude of the guy she’s singing about.
