I was worried this wouldn’t live up to the hype. No need for concern. Nicole Kidman surpasses herself in this film and the lad who played Nulla will certainly go far. This film is worth every penny!

This was an excellent movie. Set mostly in the courtroom, but with a few really scary bits. Emily Rose is played by the same chick that plays Dexter’s sister in Dexter the TV series, and she gives an impressive performance. Not easy to play a possessed person convincingly, but she manages to pull it off.

This movie is based on a true story.

I love the cinematography in this film. The way it slows down and speeds up, and switches from action to voice-over, gives the movie a surreal quality. It has the feel of sitting around a camp-fire listening to our elders while the described events unfold in our mind.

The Day After Tomorrow
Has all the elements of a typical disaster movie, but a good film just the same.

Das Boot
A look at life in the German subs during WWII. Best watched in the original German with English subtitles – watching with English dubbing spoils the atmosphere. This is a slow but very compelling movie.

This was better than ‘Dead Man’s Chest’ but not as good as ‘Curse of the Black Pearl’.
