crimeandpunishment's "Top Ten Winnipeg Films"

Add to my lists | Print this list

Many cities, notably New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, London, Paris, and Rome have been mythologized by films set and made in those locations. With the release of Guy Maddin’s new film, I figured I’d make a list of films that in some way (though to a much smaller scale) mythologize Winnipeg. These are the best films set in or about Winnipeg – or, as in the case of the 39 Steps, with characters from there – ranked in order of their "Winnipegness". (There are many other films filmed in Winnipeg, but very few set there.)
