Again, on the same lines as Mestnyigeroi; yet another insular list that reinforces Hollywood dominance + too much mediocrity. I think lists should open up new horizons; there’s a whole world out there waiting to be explored, with something for everyone- why stay in a little box? Still, i suppose half a dozen here not in English may be a starting point for many?

I certainly agree with many of those, but on the whole the list seems to reflect a bold commitment to the bland and the middle-brow.
Most ridiculous is the near total ignorance of world cinema, with Asia most notably making huge strides in the last 25 years.
This list is a comforting massage for insular consumers of U.S. pop culture and little more.

All 100 films now listed.
Yes it is really 102 films as EW specifically listed The Lord of the Rings trilogy as #2.
All EW lists are grist for animated dispute. For me, the omission of The Princess Bride, truly a new classic of romance and comedy, is unthinkable.
