Films predominantly set within one building

Add to my lists | Print this list

This list is ONLY for films predominantly set within one building. As such, Top Gun, The Empire Strikes Back, and several others are exempt for the time being.

This list does NOT include films predominantly set in temporary buildings or buildings without foundations (such as portakabins, treehouses or outhouses).

In order for a film to be eligible for inclusion in this list, at least 50% of its indoor scenes must be set within the same building.

Please – if you know of ANY films that are predominantly set within one building, do NOT hesitate to add them to this list. Your help is essential.

NB – I’ve recently been asked the following: rather than 50% of a film’s scenes are set within one building in order for it to warrant inclusion on this list, would a better inclusion criteria be any film in which the most commonly used, or predominant building, is used as a locale more than any of the other buildings in the film? I’ve mixed feelings on this one, and as such, shall leave it to you guys to discuss in the comments section at the bottom of this page.

There are several versions of The Fall of the House of Usher, and they must all fit the list criteria, but I’ve only seen the Corman version.
