Salo — 1 year ago

Regardless of whether Salo is a good film or not, it has reached a status of infamy that it certainly needs to be included in a comprehensive list of ‘must-sees’ not necessarily ‘bests’.

Brakhage — 1 year ago

You can’t really complain. The fact that something as experimental and marginal (as in opposed to main streams) as the work of Brakhage is featured with 3 movies in this list (Dog Star Man, Scenes From Under Childhood & The Art of Vision – last year it was 4, but Text Of Light didn’t make the latest list) is proof enough that this extraordinary film maker gets the recognition he deserves.

S.B. — 1 year ago

Why did I have to wait until 900 and something for BRAKHAGE to show up. At first I thought it was because length was an issue, but “a train arrives at the station” is on here so that’s not it.

Something Wrong — 1 year ago

The list is now a top 1001…

messed up — 1 year ago

The only problem I found in the top 100 was that Double Indemnity was placed right after Amarcord. I just switched them so Indemnity is at 91 and Amarcord at 92.

Messed Up — 1 year ago

Yeah, i just noticed 850-900 is completely messed up, i dont know how much messed up the rest f the list is, if i get a chance in the next couple of weeks ill try to fix it, ibut can anyone else do it?

Untitled — 1 year ago

Someone mixed up the order of the list in the beginning. I’m not really sure how to correct this so if someone else is up to the job.

I was visiting the list in order to mark a few films I’d seen in the last few days, and at least the first fifty films on the list were all messed up. Singin in the Rain was listed at the top spot, The Rules of the Game, as far as I could tell, had completely dropped off the list, Sunrise had been dropped down towards 50ish . . . In short, total chaos (I don’t know if this happens often. Does it?). I tried to reorder the first 50 as best I could. I appreciate the work you all did in reordering the list for 2008 and I hated to see it all screwed up like that. I didn’t check how the other 950 films were doing. I’ll look at it when I get a chance. Please check what little work I’ve done and make changes as necessary. Thanks.

1000 Done? — 1 year ago

I added King of the Children and My Friend Ivan Lapshim (both didn’t seem to have a tag before) to the end, so those two are out of order. There may also be some other errors as I see that it says 996 instead of 1000 movies. If anyone could help figure this out, that would be great. I need a break as it is.
