Poor list — 2 years ago

This list misses some really big names! Where’s Ayn Rand’s “Atlas Shrugged”, the second most influential book after the Bible (http://www.usatoday.com/money/companies/management/2002-09-23-ayn-rand_x.htm)?

And where are the Mars trilogy, Asimov’s Foundation series?

Any Nebula prize winner except for Dune? Nope.

Lots of Pulitzer Prize winning novels are also missing.

Someone has deleted Girls in Love (no. 98) and Bridget Jonses’s Diary (no. 75). I don’t have time to add them back and fix the order right now – can someone please do it?

Um... — 3 years ago

I tried to create a list of books 101-200…it didn’t quite work out, can someone please help me fix it? Thank you very much!

Order Correction — 3 years ago

Someone had removed His Dark Materials. I readded and fixed a few small order problems.

Order correction — 3 years ago

Moved Lord of the Rings back to its no. 1 spot, as someone had moved it to no. 45.

It seems someone also saw fit to demote His Dark Materials, and several of the Harry Potter books.

PLEASE don’t alter definitive lists from the source. I don’t think Lord of the Rings is the best book on this list either, but the whole point of this list is that it’s the BBC top 100, not a personal top 100.
