This list was updated to include Tale of Two Cities and Great Expectations Dec 2010

Update please! — 4 years ago

Someone needs to update the list and add The Story of Edgar Sawtelle. I would but I can’t figure out how to do it. Thanks!

Well She did pick a lot of good books — 4 years ago

Not all I liked.

Beloved? Horrible

Books I loved:

We Were The Mulvaneys.

Pillars of The Earth but she picked that years after it was published and it was already a bestseller. I hope more people read that book thanks to her. Great book.

I started with A Pilot’s Wife which I enjoyed.

Enjoyed most of the books but yes most are depressing.

I did not like James Frey’s fake book.

Today i received 2 books of the list. Night and Icy Sparks. So far I’ve only read 23 of this list. Going to make it 25 :)

Added this list — 5 years ago

Decided to add it to my lists because just a few years ago I read a lot of The Oprah books.

It says I am 32% done with this list.

One book I really want to read is Night by Ellie Wiesel.

Maybe I am going to try some of the others.

Updated — 5 years ago

I added the two most recent books; I hope this is OK!

There’s so much to be said about the books Oprah chooses, but it’s interesting to read at least a few of them, if only to be able to discuss the cultural phenomena of “pop” literature.

Not an Oprah fan but... — 7 years ago

I’ll try and pick out some of these books to give a read to. Maybe I’m missing out..
