Hijacked from list created by library in area – Daniel Boone Regional Library (DBRL) (mid-Missouri/Columbia, MO).
I’d love to take the credit – it’s pretty inclusive- but the credit goes to them.

Thank you so much for your work on this list. It’s great. I’d probably add Gaston Leroux’s ‘The Phantom of the Opera’, the Pulitzer winners – like Tales of the South Pacific, Lonesome Dove, etc – Knowles ‘A Separate Peace’, and about a hundred more, but the list you compiled is the best I’ve seen. Thanks for doing it! :)

54.The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper

55. James Fenimore Cooper : The Leatherstocking Tales I: The Pioneers, The Last of the Mohicans, The Prairie by James Fenimore Cooper

Why read The last of the Mohicans by itself it is in in with 55.?
And is 56. Leatherstocking tales 2 or something? Thanks i will try looking them up myself but thought others might be confused too.

Wasn’t Heidi written by Johanna Spyri? It was, when I last read it…
