882 4BH's listeners's "882 4BH 1000 Best Songs of All Time (2009) [in progress]"

Add to my lists | Print this list

882 4BH is an Australian radio station with the motto "The Best Songs of All Time". The below list was compiled from listener votes and is in REVERSE order from #1000 through #1 but the numbers next to listings are WRONG. In other words, the LAST page will have the highest-ranked songs not the first page. (List of Bests won’t seem to allow me to run them in reverse, but you can verify the number for each song at the Weblinks..this is just so you can check ‘em off):

The top 10 is here:

Reworking the list — 26 weeks ago

This seems like a really interesting list, however, it was initially set up with some of the links pointing to a complete CD instead of a 45, cassette single, CD single or other release of just the ONE song. It’s possible you may have heard say Michael Jackson’s song “Thriller” without having heard the whole ALBUM of the same name. Also, the way the list appears on the station’s Website is a bit confusing but can’t be helped. There are 2 source URLs for the list: one shows the top 10 rankings, the other appears to be some sort of contest entry listing which left the top 10 blank for listeners to fill in and mail.

I’ve included both links.
