Nick Hornby is an author whose book High Fidelity became a bible for all men who’ve ever catalogued their record collections in alphabetical order or agonised over their own Desert Island Discs choices. (As well as a great flick with Jon Cusack)
Here are the 8 selections he chose while appearing on the BBC’s DESERT ISLAND DISCS radio programme and the albums from which they came. (Note: In the show, you are allowed to select only 8 songs to have with you on an inaccessible island. You are also permitted 1 “luxury” item. Hornby wisely broke the law by making his luxury item an iPod. )
