charis15721's "My top ten distinctives"

Add to my lists | Print this list

1. No matter how far out of orbit I got in my life and how much I tried to trash myself and sometimes everyone and everything around me, I always returned to center – I am a child of God with a purpose for being here and so are you! God did not mind the detours and they made me a better person in the long run.

2. I had the privilege of bringing two beautiful souls into this world whom I efforted to raise as virtuously as possible ANDTHEMSETTHEMFREE!

3. I loved as many kids as came across my path as if they were my own which was hard, because "not-your-own kids" are hard to love.

4. No matter how emancipated I made myself or considered myself, I always honored and gave credit to the many people who grew me up even though I was often unlovable and I hated and resisted anyone trying to tell me how to do any damn thing.

5. No matter where I went or what I ended up doing, I was present and participated alongside my fellow humans as one of them. And I always carried my own weight and contributed something along the way by giving my best efforts.

6. For all intents and purposes, I travelled around the world, often living in places long enough to acquire languages, mannerisms, souvenirs and an appreciation which made me truly feel like a citizen of the world and a member of the family of man.

7. Without getting mired in academia, I managed to acquire a huge amount of knowlege which I freely share. I think I might be one of those greatly educated drop-outs.

8. No matter how wretched, broken, deranged or depraved I felt about life, I never lost trust, hope, faith or the notion of love and I got up again.

9. No matter how exalted, spoiled or busy I got in my successes, I never forgot to reach out and do something for someone less fortunate than myself. I never had the notion I lived only for mmyself or my own gain- my thoughts are always on how to raise others up as well.

10. No matter how stuffed my head would get, I always tried to learn something new. No matter what a smartass I was, I was smart enough to know that I didn’t know everything. No matter how much smarter I may have been than another, I also was smart enough to know that everyone knows something I don’t.
