Most Important and Misappreciated American Films

Add to my lists | Print this list

From the book "Most Important and Misappreciated American Films Since the Beginning of Cinema: a Revaluation", published by the Royal Film Archive of Belgium in the 1970’s to celebrate the USA Bicentennial. About 200 European and North American film critics, historians, directors etc. were polled.

I’m not going to list all the 2000+ movies that received votes, but I will go past the top 100, because that is where things get interesting.
