Nausicaa was produced by Toei Animation and distributed by Toei Company. Studios buy movies from other studios all the time, though it is traditionally held that the production studio is to recieve credit as a film’s studio. Plus, as you yourself said, Studio Ghibli didn’t even exist in 1984. I will remove it once again.
I re-added Nausicaa (see my reply in “Valley of the Wind”), and changed My Neighbors the Yamadas to the US DVD, like most of the other titles included.
Removed Nausicaa because it wasn’t made by Studio Ghibli, even if it was made by Hayao Miyazaki.
Panda Go Panda was written by Myazaki, but he was made by another studio because the film was created pre-ghibli.
I’ve switched the title back to ‘Studio Ghibli Movies’, it’s a definite list and the title shouldn’t change.
What about this one? I thought this was classed as a ghibli film. I enjoyed it, although way too ‘kiddie’ for me.
I was wondering if the ‘Ghiblies (TV short film)’ needed to be added here. It’s not really a movie… Any thoughts?
