The ALA's 100 Most Frequently Challenged Books of 2000-2009
Each year, the American Library Association (ALA) records hundreds of attempts by individuals and groups to have books removed from libraries shelves and from classrooms. These are those books most banned between the years 2000 and 2009.
NOTE: Anywhere I have included a "box set" this indicates that the entire series has been challened/banned at some point, but this list format has no way to indicate a WHOLE series, so I have tried to place those by using box sets…to demonstrate that it is not a single book that needs to be read.
