southernbohemian's "Films I've Rated "Not Worth Consuming" 2008-Present"

Add to my lists | Print this list

I tend to try to watch "good" movies (ahem, films). I don’t watch a lot of stuff that I have no interest in, keep the channel on something that is boring me to tears, or let my boyfriend talk me into watching total crap just because it’s his turn to pick the movie. Not that you would really get that from this list, which has some movies that are notoriously bad.

I think at times I am a little too lenient on films. I tend to find "something" about them that saves them from being rated "Not Worth Consuming." But when a movie ends and I immediately wish I had those two hours of my life back, I know for certain that it was not for me. There are a few on the list that I (gasp) didn’t actually complete. And when I hear someone’s review that starts with "I hated it so much I didn’t get past the first 20 minutes…" I usually tune them out – but I have a REALLY hard time not finishing a movie – so if I give up (usually around the hour mark) – I do feel like I’ve given the film as much of a chance as it deserves and life is really too short. However most of them I actually suffered all the way through – because I am an optimist – and I always think that the last five minutes might turn it all around.
