Indiana Univerity American Studies Reading List
The following books are intended to be suggestive of the range and variety of scholarship which has been associated with the American Studies movement of the past five decades. Included among these volumes are some others which are intended to illustrate the interdisciplinary approach or the promise of certain sub-fields in American culture studies. This list is not proposed for canonical status. Nevertheless, it may prove useful in preparing for the field examination in American Studies.
