Paul Newman was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor eight times. He won once, for The Color of Money. He also won two special Oscars – an honorary award in 1986 and the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award in 1994. He was nominated in the category of Best Picture for Rachel, Rachel in 1969 and for Best Supporting Actor in 2003 for Road to Perdition.
