I can see arguments for most of the albums on here (or at least the ones I’m familiar with), but Avril Lavigne? Really?

The Twain inclusion is another one probably only agreed with by Robert John Mutt Lange (he’s her hubby if you didn’t know).
This was the topic of reams of SCATHING criticism of the Rock and Roll HOF on Amazon and deservedly so in my opinion.
There’s so many things wrong with the list it’s hard to know where to start….
But I’d question Andrea Bocelli (opera has next to NO relation to rock and roll I can discern), flavor of the month Shakira has already become outdated as far as I can tell, and no matter how ubiquitous and popular the soundtrack to FOOTLOOSE might be, I think arguing for it as a great album is a stretch to say the least.

I thought this was the Rock n’ Roll hall of fame list, not the adult contemporary wiener saxophone list.
I guess I’m just confused about what it takes to get into the hall of fame. Sure, Kenny is famous, but not good.
hehehehe.
