Darwin's Dangerous Idea — 4 years ago

Fascinating reading. I tried as hard as I could to let Dennett lead me down his path but I found his tone and self satisfaction too distracting. His silly argument with Stephen Jay Gould takes up way too much space and had already played out. Gould is dead for God’s sake. I have to agree with Gould’s comments on Dennett and others in his school of thought, they are fundamentalists when it comes to Darwinism and in their constant defense of evolution (which is a scientific fact) leave too many holes for those who would argue Evolution’s validity to take shots at. I read it. I thought it was well done. It pissed me off.
