This is in reply to Paul Schrader’s Film Canon, with Gold, Silver and Bronze levels, which comprised 20 films in each, and only 1 film per director. I think he cut this just too fine, so i’m enlarging my list to 25 in each level. And even then, no room for Visconti, De Sica, Fassbinder, Almodovar, Rossellini, Naruse, Disney, Pasolini, Polanski, Preston Sturges, Marx brothers, any women directors….!!
