"Hitchhiker's Guide" and hair-splitting — 42 weeks ago

Is it fair to include Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy since it originated not as a book but as a radio play?

Treasure Island — 43 weeks ago

I can’t believe this classic book and its subsequent film adaptations aren’t on the list.

Flags of Our Fathers — 1 year ago

Don’t have time now to add it, but one that’s missing is Flags of Our Fathers, by James Bradley.

The Three Musketeers - classic added — 1 year ago

I’ve just added The Three Musketeers (1948) to the list on id 245. That’s the original classic – still worth consuming, I might add.

sorted — 1 year ago

The list is now sorted by original book author, followed by the films that have been based on it. This should make it much easier to spot duplicates and figure out what films based on books are not on the list.

While sorting out the list, I deleted a few duplicates and made some corrections.

Too many duplicates! I’m so confused in finding which author/s is/are the original one/s.

Memento — 1 year ago

The movie “Memento” is not based on the book by Muriel Spark. Chris Nolan adapted it from his brother Jonathan Nolan’s short story “Memento Mori”.
