Sometimes a movie takes over my consciousness, and I have to keep watching it. I saw Bram Stoker’s Dracula thirteen times in the theater, Little Odessa six. I’ve seen Aliens over 25 times, and many snippets more over the years. How could I face my strange little life without Ripley behind my eyes? Haunted and damaged, she knows that she will never have her own life again.
It happens every time… I slip inside her soul as she rises to all that is left for her, facing what must be faced in order to save herself—and everything and everyone else to boot. And that’s just how the movie starts! The rest is kicking buttinsky. There is hope in the face of darkest evil. Ripley rules.
