I spent a year in China during my studies-abroad program, and had lots of free time to travel around the country. Our library had a big selection of China travel guide books. Instead of carrying them with me, I just photocopied pages from the best books. This is a list of the books that were the most useful to my travels. Some of them I actually own because they were so helpful.
